SANCTION

The tournaments listed are sanctioned by the Michigan District AAU of the Amateur Athletic Union of the United States [AAU]

ENTRY FEE

$ 10.00

AWARDS

Regular Division:  1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals.  Wall charts to 1st place.  Rookie Division:  There will be a Rookie Division for Tots, Bantam, Midget and Novice Divisions.  A Rookie is a 1st year wrestler.  They will wrestle a complete season in the "Rookie division".  Rookie wrestlers will receive medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  Wall chart to 1st place.  There will also be a  Rookie State Championships.

AAU CARDS

AAU membership cards may be purchased on line immediately [click on the headgear at the end of the information pages] or cards will be available at the door.  Every wrestler and coach must have a 2008 AAU membership card.  You must provide proof of age when purchasing an athletes card.  COST:  Youth $12.00/14.00....Adult $22.00/27.00....Non-Athlete $14.00/16.00.  Higher price card for youth, adult and coach are Added Benefit [AB] cards.  Explanation when purchased.

SPECIAL NOTES

You may only wrestle one [1] weight and age division.

You must wear a singlet to weigh-in.

In the Tot, Bantam, Midget and Schoolboy Divisions - You MUST wrestle in two [2] tournament unless in High School  BEFORE the M.S.W.A. Folkstyle State Championships in the Folkstyle Season.  You MUST wrestle in two [2] tournament unless in High School BEFORE the M.S.W.A. Freestyle State Championships in the Freestyle Season.

The AAU Wrestling Committee will not tolerate any form of verbal or physical abuse directed toward any athlete, volunteer or AAU official participating in an AAU sanctioned event.  This applies to coaches, parents, spectators and athletes.  The tournament committee will report any suspected or reported abuse to the proper authorities.

If an athlete, coach, parent, spectator, etc. are ejected from a tournament, they will not be allowed to wrestle or attend the next scheduled tournament.
A Service Fee will be charged to replace lost or misplaced AAU Membership cards.

The following fees are for all Local tournaments and do not include the State Championships

 Family includes up a maximum of 5 persons

CONCESSIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY
